William Devaney Joins Baker & McKenzie in New York

William “Widge” Devaney has joined law firm Baker & McKenzie as a partner in its New York office. The firm announced last week that Devaney has joined its North American Litigation Practice.

Devaney is a former Assistant U.S. Attorney in the District of New Jersey, where he was a member of the Securities Fraud Unit. He joins Baker & McKenzie from Venable, where he served as co-chair of the firm’s Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and Anti-Corruption Group.
