Yesterday, Thomas Zaccaro and Nicolas Morgan announced the launch of their new boutique law firm, Zaccaro|Morgan LLP. The firm focuses on “high stakes Complex Civil Litigation, government investigations & defense, white collar criminal defense and related appeals,” and is located in Los Angeles, California.
Zaccaro joins the firm from Paul Hastings, where he was a partner and vice-Chair of Paul Hastings’s Investigations and White Collar Defense practice group and Chair of the Litigation Department in Los Angeles. Morgan was the West Coast Chair of DLA Piper’s Securities and Enforcement Practice, as well as the Los Angeles office’s hiring partner.
Previously, Zaccaro and Morgan both served as trial counsel for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Zaccaro was the Chief Trial Counsel of the SEC’s Pacific Regional Office, and prior to that served for seven years as an AUSA for the Southern District of New York and Trial Attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice Organized Crime and Racketeering Section. Prior to joining the SEC’s trial unit, Morgan was a staff attorney and branch chief in the SEC’s Enforcement Division.
