Stephen J. Crimmins has joined law firm Murphy & McGonigle, P.C. as a shareholder in its Washington D.C. and New York offices. The firm announced today that Crimmins will join several of its practice areas, including White Collar Defense, Investigations & Compliance Counseling; and Enforcement Defense and Government Investigations.
Crimmins joins Murphy & McGonigle from K&L Gates, where he was a partner. Previously, Crimmins served with the SEC for 14 years, including as Deputy Chief Litigation Counsel of the SEC’s Enforcement Division in Washington, D.C. from 1993 until 2001.
Crimmins is the Chairperson of the D.C. Bar’s 2500-lawyer Corporation, Finance and Securities Law Section. In 2013, he was named to Securities Docket’s Enforcement 40, our list of the 40 best and brightest securities enforcement defense lawyers.
