Patrick Gibbs has joined law firm Cooley as a partner in the Palo Alto office. The firm announced today that Gibbs has joined its Securities Litigation practice group. Gibbs joins Cooley from Latham & Watkins where he was a partner and former co-chair of its securities litigation and professional liability practice.
In 2014, Gibbs represented the former Chairman and CEO of sTec, Manouch Moshayedi, in an insider trading case that resulted in a rare trial. Following a three-week trial, the jury returned a complete defense verdict.
