Julie Riewe Joining Debevoise & Plimpton in Washington, D.C.

Debevoise150Julie M. Riewe will join law firm Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in March 2016 as a partner in its Washington, D.C. office. The firm announced today that Riewe will join its White Collar & Regulatory Defense Group.

Riewe joins Debevoise from the SEC, where she was Co-Chief of the Asset Management Unit of the SEC’s Division of Enforcement. In that position, Riewe led a staff of nearly 80 attorneys and other professionals in 12 SEC offices in the agency’s enforcement efforts involving private equity and hedge funds, registered investment companies, BDCs and other asset managers.

Prior to being appointed Co-Chief of the AMU in 2012, Riewe served as an Assistant Director, Branch Chief and a Staff Attorney in the Enforcement Division.
