Brian Stretch to Leave U.S. Attorney Post for Sidley | The Recorder

Brian Stretch, the U.S. attorney for the Northern District of California, is set to join the San Francisco office of Sidley Austin.

A veteran of the local federal prosecutors’ office, Stretch has served in various leadership positions over his 18-year tenure including that of U.S. attorney and first assistant U.S. attorney under Melinda Haag. Stretch was appointed to the U.S. attorney post by the U.S Chief District Judge Phylis Hamilton of the Northern District after Haag’s departure in 2015.
