At Securities Enforcement Forum 2020 (set for October 28, 2020), Securities Docket will announce its “Enforcement 40″ for 2020– our list of the 40 best and brightest securities enforcement defense professionals in the industry. Specifically, this list honors 40 securities professionals who not only have the right stuff to handle bet-the-company matters, but are also the kind of defensive specialists critical to have on speed-dial should the SEC’s Division of Enforcement come calling.
Securities Docket created its inaugural “Enforcement 40″ in 2013, and updated it in 2017 (see the 2017 honorees below). The list is guided by a simple question: Who would you hire if you, your company or a family member was faced with an important SEC enforcement matter?
In addition, there are three basic requirements:
- Candidates for the Enforcement 40 must be in the private sector for at least the past two years.
- Candidates for the Enforcement 40 must have a practice that is at last 50% dedicated to SEC enforcement defense work.
- Candidates for the Enforcement 40 must be attorneys (as opposed to accountants, economists or other experts)

The deadline for submissions is Friday, October 9, 2020 and we will announce the 40 honorees at Securities Enforcement Forum 2020, which will be held “virtually” this year on Wednesday, October 28, 2020.
