Global law firm Shearman & Sterling today announces the appointment of Patrick Hein as a partner in its Litigation practice, based in San Francisco.
Patrick is an accomplished former federal prosecutor and trial lawyer, who has served in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York (EDNY) for the last eight years – including most recently as Deputy Chief of the Business and Securities Fraud Section. Patrick has extensive experience leading investigations, prosecutions and trials of complex and high-profile matters involving securities fraud, cryptocurrency fraud, market manipulation, insider trading, international corruption and the FCPA. Prior to joining the Department of Justice, Patrick practiced at a global law firm in San Francisco for six years representing technology companies and financial institutions in complex civil and criminal litigation and investigations.
